Googlebot systematically browses the World Wide Web, following links between pages to find new and updated content. It analyzes page content, structure, and relationships to other pages, enabling Google to rank and display relevant results in search queries. Website owners can control Googlebot’s access to their sites through robots.txt files and other directives. Also known as the Google spider or Google web crawler.
