More Shipping Settings At Product Level

Google is adding new shipping fields that work directly at product level, not just across the whole account.

These include:

  • handling_cutoff_time – a daily cut-off for processing orders
  • minimum_order_value – the minimum order value required
  • loyalty-related labels within shipping

For merchants, this means more flexibility. Shipping rules can now be adjusted per product instead of being applied globally.

Product Video Now Part Of The Feed

A new video_link field allows merchants to attach videos to products.

You can already submit videos, but they will start appearing from June 30, 2026. From the same date, Google will also begin checking them for policy and quality.

If a video doesn’t meet the requirements, it simply won’t show. The product listing itself won’t be affected.

Image Rules Will Get Stricter

Google is increasing the minimum image size to 500 × 500 pixels across all categories.

  • Warnings started on April 14, 2026
  • Enforcement begins on January 31, 2027

Products with smaller images will be flagged in Merchant Center. Google may improve some images automatically, but these will still be marked.

What Merchants Should Do Now

The changes are gradual, but they affect how product data is structured.

  • Review shipping settings in feeds
  • Prepare product videos where possible
  • Check image sizes before the 2027 deadline

For most e-commerce teams, this is less about strategy and more about keeping product data in shape.
