Innovative Online Payment Solution from Macedonia to the World

Online sales transactions are becoming increasingly common; many small businesses, freelancers, and service providers still don't have their own e-commerce store. The reasons vary – lack of technical knowledge, time, human resources, or budget to develop an online store. But this doesn't mean they should give up the opportunity for online payments. The good news is that since last year, electronic payment has been possible in Macedonia with the "Pay by Link" service, available through CaSys.

“Pay by Link” is a modern, fast, and simple way for online payment – without needing a website or technical integration. You simply create a unique link, send it to the client via email, Viber, WhatsApp, or social networks, and the client pays by card with just a few clicks.

This model is used globally, especially in Europe, where it’s a very popular option in Central and Eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, and Hungary) and in North America and Western Europe, where it’s increasingly used by professionals and service providers (consultants, event organisers, beauty salons, etc.).

Who is This Service For?

This payment method is perfect for all those who sell products or services and have their own tax number (registered as an individual trader, registered craftsman, registered farmer, or other form). Specifically, examples of who this service is most suitable for include:

Service providers – translators, nutritionists, fitness trainers, mentors, lecturers, painters, photographers – easily collect payment for appointments and sessions.

Small businesses and freelancers – freelancers or small businesses that don’t currently need or have resources for a website or shopping cart integration.

Craftsmen, farmers, and local producers – who sell products by order or seasonal offerings.

Tourism and hospitality – travel agencies, accommodation hosts, tourist tours (horseback riding, sailboat rentals, etc.).

Medical services – consultations, psychotherapy appointments, laboratory tests, etc.

Benefits of the “Pay by Link” Service

No website or e-shop needed – This service is ideal for service providers, craftsmen, farmers, and freelancers – simple payment collection without technical infrastructure.

No training or technical support needed – The interface is simple and intuitive – merchants can start using it immediately without prior experience or training.

High level of security and traceability – All links are generated through systems compliant with PCI DSS standards. You can track when the client opened the link, when they paid, and if they abandoned the process.

Payment capability outside Macedonia – The link can be sent to clients worldwide. The system displays an informative amount in the client’s home currency.

Multilingual availability – The service is available in Macedonian, Albanian, and English, making it practical for various clients.

Fast payment – All you need to do is send the link via email, SMS, or message on Viber, WhatsApp, or any social network – and payment can be made immediately.

Easy for clients – No registration required – just click the link and enter card details.

Flexible application – Equally suitable for selling products and services, for B2C and B2B transactions.

No room for human error – The buyer doesn’t need to manually enter amount or currency – these are predefined in the link.

Improved cash flow – Ideal solution for small businesses wanting faster payment without waiting for bank transfers or sending paper invoices.

“Pay by Link” enables digital transformation even for the smallest market players. You don’t need to be an IT expert or have an expensive e-shop – just a few clicks and your client can pay securely, from anywhere, anytime.

How Does “Pay by Link” Work?

To start using this service, the process is simple, fast, and intuitive:

Application for service use: The merchant or service provider contacts their bank with a request to start using “Pay by Link.”

Access activation: Casys sends an email with registration and service activation instructions.

Testing: One test payment is made to confirm everything works properly.

Link creation: After successful testing, the merchant logs into the cPay merchant module, selects “Create new link” and enters basic information: amount, client’s first and last name, and email.

Sending the link: The generated link is sent to the client via email, SMS, or other communication channel.

Client payment: The client opens the link, enters card details, and confirms payment through 3DS (one-time password/OTP).

Successful payment notification: The merchant immediately receives notification that payment was successful, and the client receives email confirmation.

It’s important to note that each link is unique and created specifically for a particular transaction. For each new client or new sale (including a new service/product for the same client), a new link is created and sent. The payment page background can be customised according to brand colors and style if needed.

If you’re ready to start online payment collection for your products or services worldwide, contact your bank to get access to the cPay merchant module and activate the “Pay by Link” service.
