Meta’s AI Opportunity Score Now Available to All Ad Accounts

Meta has completed the global rollout of its Opportunity Score feature across all advertising accounts, following initial testing phases that began earlier this year. The AI-driven optimisation tool aims to help advertisers improve their campaign performance through systematic recommendations.

How the Opportunity Score Functions

The feature provides advertisers with a numerical rating from 0 to 100, indicating how effectively their campaigns are configured for optimal performance. This scoring system delivers real-time guidance on campaign setup, offering actionable suggestions that advertisers can implement to potentially enhance their advertising results.

Meta’s system evaluates campaigns based on the number of platform recommendations that advertisers choose to implement, rather than analysing actual performance metrics from live campaigns.

Recommendation Categories and Implementation

According to Meta’s explanation, the scoring mechanism ranks suggestions based on projected performance impact. The recommendations include:

  • proven best practices
  • error corrections
  • warning alerts that identify issues in campaigns – such as formatting problems, missing elements, or policy compliance violations

The platform’s AI system draws from experimentally validated optimisation strategies that have demonstrated effectiveness across various advertising scenarios.

Performance Impact and Testing Results

During testing phases, Meta reported that advertisers who followed Opportunity Score recommendations experienced a median 12% reduction in their cost per result. However, the company acknowledges that these suggestions represent predictions rather than guaranteed performance improvements.

Availability and Strategic Considerations

The Opportunity Score is now accessible within Meta Ads Manager for all advertising accounts globally. While the tool offers systematic guidance for campaign refinement, advertisers should consider these recommendations as optimisation opportunities rather than definitive requirements for success.

The feature represents Meta’s continued investment in AI-powered advertising tools designed to simplify campaign management while potentially improving advertiser outcomes across Facebook and Instagram platforms.
