Romania’s First Same-Day Electronics & Home Appliances Delivery Launches in Bucharest

Romania's company EvoMag has started offering same-day delivery across Bucharest and nearby areas, becoming the country's first online electronics retailer to provide this service for heavy items. The new delivery option can handle items up to 30 kilograms, setting it apart from other rapid delivery services that typically focus on smaller products.

How the Service Works

Customers who place orders before 1 PM receive their items by 6 PM that day. Orders submitted after 1 PM arrive by 6 PM the next day. Delivery runs weekdays from 9 AM to 7 PM for 30.99 lei (€6.20).

The service covers Bucharest and multiple areas in Ilfov county, including Pipera, Voluntari, and Chiajna. Location selection was based on customer density and warehouse proximity.

CEO Mihai Pătrașcu highlighted the ability to deliver “larger and heavier products” compared to standard instant delivery options, encompassing televisions, phones, and household appliances.

Customer Usage Patterns

Data shows rapid delivery services already represent nearly 5% of total orders, while pickup locations handle 35% of deliveries.

Most orders (90%) currently arrive the next day, with others delivered within three days.

Same-day purchases average 200 lei (€40), ranging from small accessories to expensive electronics like TVs and smartwatches.

Market Impact

The development reflects Romania’s changing e-commerce landscape, where speed matters as much as price. This becomes especially important during busy shopping periods when standard delivery times often increase.

The initiative targets situations where customers need products immediately, particularly during high-volume seasons that typically strain delivery networks industry-wide.
