Last year, Google made it possible for businesses to add links to their own social networks directly to their business profiles. This means that if a business has social media accounts, it can add links to them directly on Google Search and Google Maps. This enhancement is designed to help people find more information about the business and its products or services.
Google has extended this capability by adding a new way to show recent social media posts directly in search. Now, when someone searches for a business on Google, they can see not only basic information, but also recent social media posts, such as images or statuses.
How to do it?
“In your business profile, go to ‘Edit profile’, click on ‘Business information’ and then click on ‘Contact’. From there, select ‘Social Profiles’ and add, update or remove links,” says Search Engine Journal.
Post previews are added automatically, but there is an option to link accounts manually. In some cases, Google can automatically add social media links to eligible business profiles.
