TikTok Shop will stop accepting USPS shipping labels bought outside its platform from January 2026. Sellers using ShipStation, Shopify or similar tools will need to switch to TikTok Shipping or pick a different carrier.

The change kicks in January 1, 2026, and hits everyone in the US who currently uses USPS through third-party shipping software. TikTok’s official notice says seller shipping won’t accept USPS labels unless they’re created through TikTok Shipping.

What This Means For Sellers

Upload a USPS label from outside TikTok after January 2026? You’ll get a verification error and get pushed to TikTok Shipping instead. For sellers processing thousands of FBM and DTC orders daily through ShipStation, this changes everything about how they work.

There are two ways forward:

  • start buying USPS labels directly through TikTok Shipping
  • switch to UPS, FedEx or another carrier that isn’t affected by this rule

ShipStation And Other Platforms Need To React

TikTok tells users of shipping software to reach out about technical integration between TikTok Shipping and external platforms.

Nobody knows yet if ShipStation will build a direct integration (like they did with Amazon Buy Shipping) before January or if they’ll just block USPS label creation for TikTok orders altogether.

What To Do Now

Contact your shipping software provider and TikTok immediately. With less than a month until the deadline, US-based sellers need to act fast – start testing alternative carriers like UPS or FedEx now, or prepare to switch to TikTok Shipping for all USPS orders. Don’t wait until January when your labels stop working.
