Achievable: Goals should be realistic and attainable given your resources and constraints.

Relevant: The goal should align with broader objectives and be worthwhile.

Time-bound: There should be a specific timeframe for achieving the goal.

This framework helps in creating well-defined goals that are more likely to be achieved. For example, instead of saying “I want to increase sales,” a SMART goal would be “Increase monthly sales revenue by 15% within the next quarter through launching two new product lines and expanding our email marketing campaign.” Using SMART goals can improve focus, increase motivation, and provide a clear path to success in both personal and professional contexts. They help transform vague intentions into concrete plans of action.
