Instagram Increases The Limit On a Carousel Post To 20 Images And Videos

Instagram has expanded the maximum amount of images and videos users may upload in one carousel post, guaranteed to thrill photo dump aficionados. The restriction has been raised from 15 to 20, therefore allowing users even more freedom to distribute their material.

This upgrade improves on the carousel function first unveiled in 2017, which has since grown in popularity notably recently. The news leaked via official account stories on Instagram.

Second only to reels, photo dumps have become one of the trendiest content trends on Instagram. Usually unrelated, these posts include a collection of images that capture a user’s week or holiday experiences.

The increase to 20 pictures fits Instagram’s latest initiatives to support group projects and challenge other services like TikTok. By contrast, social network TikTok lets users post up to 35 images in one single post.

Expected to go out worldwide in the next days, the new 20-image restriction adds to the increasing list of features Instagram has lately installed. With this shift, people have more liberty to share in a single, all-inclusive post their experiences and express themselves.
