According to app researcher Radu Oncesu, the new process is remarkably straightforward. Users simply need to scan a QR code displayed in the TikTok Studio app with their mobile device to establish a connection between the two. The change represents a significant improvement in user experience, as the ability to use multiple cameras has existed for some time but was previously more technically demanding.

This update is particularly beneficial for gaming streamers who often struggle to show both gameplay and their face simultaneously. Many TikTok gaming streams currently only display gameplay footage, as creators lack either the technical expertise or system capability to utilise two cameras at once. The simplified connection process opens this feature to a much broader audience.

Beyond gaming, the multi-camera functionality offers advantages for shopping streams and behind-the-scenes content, providing creators with an easy way to deliver more context and engagement in their broadcasts.

As TikTok’s live streaming features continue to gain popularity, this user-friendly approach to multi-angle broadcasting could become an important consideration for content creators and marketers developing their platform strategies.
